i just got some d2000's to complement my akg k702s. These things are amazing straight out of the box. They're definitely colored but it makes them more warm and musical than the k702s. The bass is amazing as well. Definitely my go to when I'm feeling like really feeling like being immersed in what i'm listening to

Sold my D7000 and Stello Dac a couple of years back to fund my bicycling hobby.  This week I got a Stello dac and Grado SR325i as well as Denon D5000 headphones!  Been stocking up on new CDs and listening 24/7 and hanging out at head-fi,  Its good to be back

Hey everyone,
I posted a week or so ago that my headphones at broken, and luckily Denon was very accommodating with my situation and I got a refund and order a new pair of D2000s! Everyone here should be proud to own a Denon product, they really are a great company! ^__^

Which part broke? speak of the devil..I was listening to music at the desktop and set my D2000 on the stand...the screw fell out and the cup landed on the floor. no damage and can't find a screwdriver to fix in that smart area to screw it back in.

edit:manage a small quickfix..used duct tape. Now my denon d2000 looks ghetto headphones

Just finished the mods on my D5000 headphones and really lovin the improved midrange and high end on these phones.  I miss the crazy bass a little but the impoved balance of the headphone is so worth it

Hi guys just wanna know what difference does it make by changing the plastic cups of the denon d2000 to wooden ones?
And if any of you have spare D7000 wooden cups, I am interested to buy from u, living in Singapore though.

The sub bass from the left ear cup completely cut out (350Hz and below), and since I listen to a lot of Electronic, I was really thrown off by the sound. However, I have a fully functioning pair of D2000s now and I love them so much :3

You can currently pick up some wooden cups at the Lawton Audio homepage sale items section.  He currently has D5000/7000 cables and cups in stock.

As for that website with $118 D7000, it looks too good to be true.  It is also a website that is related to alibaba.com, which sells cheap goods in bulk from China.  Those headphones are also from China, making me suspicious about their authenticity.  It looks like someone from Canada ordered 4 pairs 1 week ago.  Maybe they are a member here and can chime in as to whether or not the deal is legit.

hey why not sell me your used D5000 cups for $40 and use it to fund the d7000 cups haha

haha
I did think about it - but actually paying an extra $40 for D7K cups - is almost double of what I paid.
I'll put my stupid desires behind me and stick with what I have :)

Haha sure... anyway a question, did u drill a hole in the wooden cups or cut off the stump when installing the new d5000 cups?
cause i wouldnt want the process to be irreversible yet want the wooden cups to be stable and not come loose any time.
