I currently have a pair of Wood Cupped D2000 headphones that I really enjoy. when I received them, the wood cups were worn a little and in poor shape, I have since worked on them and made them look great again. My question is, I was considering upgrading to the D5000, however I would like to keep the dampened wood cups tat I refinished, are you able to use the same size cup on the D5000 that you have on the D2000?
Thanks,
James
to fit the D5000 cups on a D2000 HP you need to drill 7mm holes in the cups from what i saw in this link .you would need to fill the whole up ,maybe by making a wood peg using a drill and bringing the peg down to the right size and gluing it in there that would solve it http://www.totallydubbed.net/2012/03/30/denon-ah-d2000-wood-cup-installation-guide/
