Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

To long term 9200 owners, any issues arise or other faults? Am interested in these but can only get them off eBay in my country so no warranty. Trying to decide between these or Celestee/Radiance for a closed back pair

Have you checked Thomann online? They have a 3 years warranty and will ship to Australia. I'm in a similar situation as I wasn't able to find the D9200's locally.

Just had a look and indeed they do. Now I found a brand new pair in Australia on eBay for $2300, or I could go with Thomman, get the warranty (even though claiming it would probably be a pain) and pay around $2600 AUD and wait a month or two instead of a week. Choices choices! Thanks though.

Oh my, how comes it is so expensive in Australia? Import fees and taxes?
That's incredible!

It's not that expensive, i'd say.

2600 Au $ are 1660 €.
So it's about 60€ or $94 AU over the mrsp in Germany for the D9200.

Absolute numbers aren't a good start to compare things. :)

Yep, sorry, I mixed AUD with USD.

Where from? Am in Australia and interested in these but no store sells outside of used pairs on eBay from Japan. Was going to settle for the Radiance or Z1R

Special order from Melbourne Hi-Fi directly from Denon Japan! The team there is wonderful and Paul + Mischa made the ordering process simple. Their communication was excellent as well.

The reason I didn't order off eBay and Thomann for cheaper was because I wanted Australian consumer protection.

I blame you guys for making me go into this rabbit hole!

So I liked how the D9200 sounded and that they were so underrated and started looking for open backs with similar drivers and found the Fostex 909 which not many talk about too. Though it's semi-open, I've just started messing with it and my different amps/dacs.
