I just saw a post were someone said that replacing the cable on the Denon AH-D1001K headphones improves the sound.
As I've been thinking off adding the D1001K to my headphone collection.
Are there any posted directions on replacing the cable and how much does it help the sound?

recabling is really the last upgrade you should perform - the improvements arent nearly as extreme as upgrading your source and amp

This is often true, but not always. FWIR the D1001 benefits greatly from a recable, and the OP's source and amp may be sufficient to render the D1001's cable his system's weakest link.
