So today I received me D7200 and it looks very gorgeous! The earpads are surprisingly very comfortable too.

However, does this heaphone requires break in? The vocals are..not really natural if that's the right definition.

But the headband is horrible. Can I replace the headband with something better or am I stuck with it? If not, I might return it as it's too painfull.

For me, they are very comfortable, pads, headband, everything, I even prefer it as portable headphones instead of iems. You can adjust the cups, they slide very well.
As of break-in, I think they need it but it's a matter of sinergy too, for example best match so far is with ifi micro idsd, the voices are strong and really forward. It needs a bit of power to shine. But a few days ago I bought a fiio m15, it has lots of amping for a portable device, but I don't think it matches the ifi in terms of sound quality.

The earpads are extremely comfortable, even better than my 99 Classics but holy crap, the headband is unbearable after 15 minutes. I think I'll return it. Really ashame, I love it but the fatigues are not worth it. Can't I do something about it?

Are there OEM D7200 earpads to buy it for my T5p.2?

I don't have any issues with the headband, you might try to carefully flex it, to make it closer to an upside down v shape.

I put some Dekoni nuggets on and it improved the comfort by a huge margin for me. It basically went from intolerable to extremely comfortable with the nuggets.

Had mine for a few years now, and yes I would break it.

For the headband I purchased the ZMF headband strap which is padded lamb leather if I recall correctly. Never looked back.

I had a look back at his website to refresh my memory and it's the lambskin ZMF pilot pad that I got.

It basically is like a sleeve that goes over the headband and is held by velcro. The one that goes on your head is soft, yet thin, cushion.

One thing to note is that it is exactly the right fit, to someone else it might not be as it's shy of one millimeter to be able to fully connect the whole of the soft side of the velcro to the sticky part.

But to me it's secure enough.

You take these outside?! I live in Toronto and for the 70% of weather that is either snow, rain, ice, or all of the above I can't imagine doing this to my babies.

Just another shout out to how fine these headphones are. Underrated even, I would say. They are just so musical and easy to listen to, but not boring. They get the balance right.

Today I received my SLAPPA HardBody PRO Full Sized Headphone case and I'm really happy with this case. 100% fit for the Denon AH-D7200

I bought the Slappa but have now switched to the AHG DN8PRO-XL ... That case is both sturdier and a much much better fit .. No turning back for me

I just received an AH-D7200 and that is one uncomfortable motherf-----. I've used the B&W P9 and PX for hours on end and had no issue with the 660S' clamping force. But this son of a b---- hurts! Most uncomfortable headband ever. Hope it will become softer, because I really like the sound so far.
