I want to get some new headphones for my dell dj. I'm not sure if I should've posted this in the headphones section or this section since it's referring to my dell dj. I used to have a Iriver mp3/cd player and I loved the headphones that came with them. Anyways, I'm looking for earbuds (not the Shure brand). I have been having a problem with my fm tuner connection. I have to wiggle the current headphones or I loose all sound in the left ear piece. TIA.

I use the EX71SL Fontopias and really like them. I have a pair of the Sennheiser MX500's, but prefer the EX71s. The EX71s sound fuller to me and they block out a lot of external noise. The EX71s get very mixed reviews, seems like people either hate them or love them.

How long is the cord on the 71's? I am trying to find a pair that can allow me to sit in my desk chair and listen to music. Only problem is my dell pc is almost on the ground and the plugin for the headphones is on the bottom of the pc. I could always but some type of connector to make the cord longer I suppose. Or, I could buy two pairs of headphones. I like to listen to music at night and don't want to disturb the rest of the house. Thanks for any help.

5'4" from plug to tip of shortest ear plug. The cable is split in case you want to use the ear phones with a unit that has a remote. The first section that plugs into your player is 42" and the remainder (part including the earphones) is 22".

I second the vote for the Sony EX-71s. Obviously they don't compare with the big boys (Senns, Shures, etc.), but for under $40, they are good in ear headphones and that sound great and are light and easy to cary around.

Ecost (even with their small fee) is one of the cheapest places I have found them:

MDR-EX71SL Premium Stereo Earphones, black

You can't go wrong for $32.99!

What are some other ear phones? I can pay more than 32.99 for a good pair. the sony funtopias look kinda odd. Not like the senn's. I suppose shure would be okay if they're good and don't mess with me while I sleep on my side. I remember that one earbud had a weird sotrage case that came with it? Can't remember which one that was.
