Hi,

Just wondered if I was the only one who has experienced long delays to their IPOD order created back in May (when Dell were doing a great offer on the player and shipping).

I have dutifully confirmed to Dell each time they ask me that I wish to continue with the order, but the projected delivery date keeps extending into the future. Now its mid July.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar delays, specifically after having ordered through Dell? The price was great ($404 for 30Gb model including shipping)...but if it never arrived maybe it was not so great an offer!

I ordered my 30GB for $404 on May 19th and got it on June 6th. One week shipping delay.

i ordered a 30gb iPod on 05/15 ($404).. still waiting.. expected mid-July AFAIK

That is weird. I went through the Small Business store. Did you go through Dell Home? I heard that Small Business got theirs first. My friends received theirs as well.

Yes, I went through Dell Home...maybe thats the difference. Maybe I'll try calling Dell just to see if personal contact will hurry it along.

Its very frustrating since I am dying to try out some AAC files as well as mp3's on the IPOD, and although I already have about 40GB portable capacity through two Zen's that I own, I know that really the IPOD is way easier to use (and I can actually READ the display on the IPOD!).

Thats to everyone for the replies...its good to know that I am not the only one experiencing delays and also that there are IPOD's out there to be had!
