Sitting in my truck, listening to AM radio. Passing thought. Is anyone else likely delaying retiring one day because of this or any other hobby? I don't think I am pushing it back any further so much as I will be retiring with less money one day. Is anyone else in this situation?

I didn't want to retire, but was made redundant about 8 months before my 65th birthday.

I searched for jobs, but not one bite as the field I was in is pretty specialised and going anywhere lower make you look very overqualified.

I guess I am delayed retirement in a way. I wanted to retire at age 62, however, I did not want the expense of private insurance so I am working to 66 and getting Medicare. The side result is that I will be saving a little more money for retirement. I am fortunate in that my job as a commercial real estate appraiser could easily extend on a part-time basis going forward if I become bored or need more audio stuff. Even though I like to think that I have end-game audio gear, I'm sure I will want something else. My other hobbies are cheap to inexpensive.

True that.
