I'd love to own 800 one day but right now i'm pretty content with my 600. So it all boils down to one simple queston:

600 pads when?

Yes! You can get HD 600 pads right now, here is all four different types:
https://dekoniaudio.com/filter/?product_cat=sennheiser+hd600&product_cat=sennheiser+hd600

The pads that Shredicus (awesome name) linked for you are our favorites, and took the most time to “get right.” We use sheepskin, fenestrated sheepskin (has small holes), a tight-weave velour with the usual softness and coolness benefits but acts like leather with better isolation, all wrapped over a high density, slow rebound memory foam.

Like the HD 800 pads, we spent a lot of time testing and tuning the HD 600 pads, and have a blog post describing the changes (nothing more than 2-3 dB, small improvements):

@TYATYA ,
We spent a year developing and adjusting the sound of our pads custom for this headphone, and we’re proud of the outcome. Of course, liking the sound is subjective, and a few days of listening helps your brain adjust to the new sound, especially if you have been using the stock pads for awhile.

Here is a blog post about how the different materials change the sound, as well as some preliminary measurements:

The Drop has ended, but the pads are still available on our website at the link above!
