The right side of my HD650s has an extremely annoying vibration whenever there's bassy sound being produced. It sounds like something is loose inside the cup and vibrating against it, or against the driver. My phones are only about a month old!

Has anyone experienced this before or know of anything I could do to fix/investigate this? It is ruining my music! Please help, thanks.

Sounds like you have a blown driver. Did you drive it with lots of volume? If not it should be repaired under warranty. But now that I have seen your 'dented grille' thread, you have have jarred something loose, if not have a broken piece of plastic rattling around in it.

Well actually I dented the grille by pressing too hard on it when trying to reattach my earpads after looking around inside for something loose. Trying to solve this problem and created another. Sucks.

Hi Sun, sorry to hear about your problem!

Are you absolutely sure that there are no loose hairs or anything on the diaphragm? Because that's a common problem with these cans. Everytime a strange resonance appears in my old 590's, I always try to locate it by playing loud bass tracks without the earpads and foam covers. The resonance is much better audible that way and thus easier to locate. And everytime it turned out that the problem was a barely visible, tiny little something, like a 1mm hair stuck inside.

I find it hard to believe that you could have a blown driver after one month of use. However, there was one guy around here who had his 650's replaced because of such situation. I wonder how it's going to be with mine - I'm still waiting for them to arrive.

Ah, I had something similar with the right earcup from my HD595s. It was resonating from morning till midday, and after that it went away. Dunno what caused it, maybe in fact a hair or an other tiny object.
