Yes! It's quite essential. My favorite Deep Purple album (2nd is In Rock), and probably in my top 20 all-time.

Great stuff. There's soloing all over the place, yet almost all of it is great...the only thing I'd skip is the endless drum solo on The Mule. They just shock the hell out of their old classics. For a live album, it's not recorded too badly at all, at least for my ears.

The Mule is nice, but it's a bit awkward coming into the drum solo. The rest of the album is spotless, though.

It's a superb album. In fact, my primary reason for purchasing it in the first place was a friend who made me listen to the drum solo in The Mule. I borrowed it from the public library first to preview the entire thing before purchase and was surprised by not only a month long wait list on the album, but the fact that the copy I got was actually the fifth copy the library had to buy because of the amount of use previous copies were getting.

The drum solo is fantastic. It really adds a good depth to the music. I know some people can't get into drum solos, but I sure can. That's one of the best drum solos I've ever heard.
