Deciding between Shure E2C and Etymotic ER6i

I've been reading various things on the boards and wondering if I should cancel my ER6i order and get the Shure.


I know the latter has some thin cord issues so hmmm. Anyways, Amazon is allowing you return stuff until January 31st, 2009 so it's a good thing.


I'm gonna be using it on my brother's Creative Zen until I can get something else.

(I had a Creative Zen X-fi for a week and it was great, but something went wrong as it was delivered to me in a box that looked like it was in the sun for a whole day!)

And I haven't gotten anything else yet so yeah. I think I'm gonna pull out my Microphoto that I sort of dumped but it's coming back

Definitely get the ER6i. What are you reading on the board anyways, because what I've picked up from reading up on them is that they have terrible bass response and are just bad overall. Whereas I read the ER6i have amazing isolation and are very detailed with a flat, slightly lacking bass response.
