Hey all.

A little searching didn't turn up much (such a massive forum!), so I'm hoping you can all recommend me some decent graphic equalizers for my home audio system. I'm currently using M-Audio Studiophile AV40 monitors and some decent Sony bookshelf speakers, a Sony STR-DE325 Receiver, and a Sony SCD-CE595 SACD player. I'd like something made by Sony if possible, but anything in a black paint job will do (want it to blend into my existing system)

Any help is appreciated and feel free to find a cheapy or something a little more expensive!

Your budget is a little low. Look for a used DOD. They're pretty good. You want a 31 band. 15 band and below are just two crude to be of much use. The best equalizer you can buy are the Rane and DBX. They run around $500.

See ya

If you go rack mount, you could use a Behringer. Pro-quality and inexpensive.

They make a 31-band per channel rack unit for $150: DEQ1024. May be overkill.
