The RE0 has a completely different sound signature? I've looked at them a few times but never bothered to buy a pair as I don't think they will be my cup of tea, but by their description they seem to be almost the polar opposite of the TripleFi and it makes no sense to recommend the RE0 unless somebody is asking for something completely different from the TF10...

i havent checked but there should be people selling it for less than 200 on ebay or amazon so i wouldnt buy them for 200 if i was interested in them.

Can't you say you got them as a gift? Maybe also get the receipt from the seller..?

You could certainly try, but there is no guarantee that the seller would be willing to give you the receipt. I think if you got the receipt and said they were a gift, you would probably be OK but I wouldn't bet any money on it either.
