Hi folks, so I'm ripping all my CD's using dBpoweramp with the FLAC "uncompressed" highest quality setting.
This is for storage on my PC RAID.
I also want to do VBR at the highest quality setting for storage on my car computer's hard drive.

Should I rip FLAC and then VBR back to back?
Or... would it make more sense to rip FLAC and then after all is done, use the converter to convert FLAC to VBR files? Or will doing it that way potentially have a slight impact on audio quality?

Don't rip each CD twice, it's quicker to rip once to FLAC then convert the FLAC to the other formats you need. I would rip all your CDs to FLAC, make sure all the tag information and album artwork you want is there, then mass convert everything to the other format.
