I've had this 2 disc set for quite some time now and it is one of my favorites to relax to. It sounds great and the performance is beautiful. If you enjoy live acoustic guitar performances I suggest you check this one out.

I agree that it sounds really good too. But for some reason, I can't enjoy DMB's music as much as I used to anymore. In fact, I haven't listened to their cds for a long time especially after I heard their new cd "busted stuff". I can still remeber the days when I used to think their band is very good and creative. What has gotten over me???

I'm not a huge DMB fan myself, I just happen to love this CD

I do have 'Everyday' and 'Busted Stuff' which I consider to be decent. However, I do not have any of their older albums.

Brother, you owe it to yourself to pick up "crash" and "before these crowded streets," both are excellent albums compared to the poppy "everyday" and so-so "busted stuff."

Live at luther college is a great recording and great performance, i definitely suggest picking up their live at red rocks 2cd set, it sounds great

Live at Luther College got me hooked on Dave and Tim as well.

I have one of Tim's solo albums and he is as amazing with electric guitar as he is with acoustic. You can download some of his music on his website timreynolds.com.

I think that busted stuff, while a good album, is overproduced when compared to the leaner Lilywhite Sessions - I wish they had recorded the songs pretty much unchanged.

I didn't like LWS at all...it sounded extremely underproduced

Seriously, Busted stuff sounds great, but there's wayyyy too much filler for me.

I have never heard this album, but DM and TR gave a similar performance at Amherst College my senior year. Easily one of my favorite concerts of all time, considering they played almost every song in the DMB repertoire at the time. A very long concert, and enjoyable from beginning to end.

I was also at the Red Rocks performance that was released on CD. That was also a very memorable night.

Ive had this CD for probably a year and its still the CD i listen to most (not to mention my reference cd) if you do a search in the music forum ive mentioned it a few times. Im excited because im (hopefully) getting live at red rocks and crash, I hope red rocks is as good as Luther college (if thats possible).

Red Rocks is very good, but not as intimate as Luther College. On Luther College, Tim Reynolds and his magic acoustic guitar are showcased - Red Rocks gives the full powered treatment to all his songs - very arena rock.

Love the music on the set...Tim Reynolds does some nifty things. The music has a great "feel", but the banter definately does NOT. Hate the talking that goes on... it's almost as uncomfortable as overhearing one of your best buds at a bar trying to pick up a girl, but the dude's got no mojo happening.... everything that comes outta his mouth is, well, just WRONG. You stick it out because he's your bud, but it's painful. The girl remains polite and laughs at the appropriate time, but you KNOW she's thinking that she's gona bail as soon as she can. It's just weird to hear it unfolding.

OK, maybe it's just me. As Frank would say, "Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar".

LOL, I agree completely. At least the pink pather stuff is kept to a bearable minimum. If you want to listen to album were you just wish someone would shut up and play, check out Lauryn Hill Unplugged 2.0. OMG will she ever shut up.
