Darkvoice 336 preamp out question

Hi-
When using the preamp out on the 336, does the signal go through the tubes at all? I just tried using the preamp out for the first time today and wasn't too impressed...

You can use an 3.5mm to RCA adapter, and see if theres a diff between headphone out versus the RCA's in the back

The pre-amp out of the DV336i is quite bad for some reason. You are better off using the headphone out with an adapter if you need pre-amp functionality.

i'm not too impressed with the preamp out on my new
332 either. i have yet to try new tubes, but the headphone
sound is good, preamp bordering on crappy...

anyone come up with a workaround? (other then just wiring
in --> out)
