Do you have to have closed back or is open OK? Asking since you mention 2 closed headphones.

Gotcha. In that case it sounds like the LCD-2C is right up your alley (I own both it and the 2 closed), and as an added benefit the 2c takes EQ very well and can be made to sound brighter if you ever get the urge.
