Ahhh!!!
I finally got my stuff.
Tristania:'Widows Weeds'-'Beyond The Veil'-'World Of Glass'
Dark Suns-'Swanlike' & (non-metal My Bloody Valentine-'Loveless')
Katatonia's 'Brave Yester Days' must arrive this Friday or Monday.

Being unaccustomed to receiving multiple CDs at one time I certainly feel like my plate is full.

Tristania is really good stuff (if you like B&B, and I do

)

Let us know what you think of Katatonia....I may have to grab that as well.

KR I find it strange that you pick Rectory as Reverend Bizarre's best, as I think Harbinger of Metal is better. Same goes for Shape of Despair. I think Angels of Distress is superios to Shades of.

Sorry, I have lots of 1980's thrash but for some reason never got into Anthrax even though they are one of the most popular.

Also strange that KR picks MDB - Gods of the Sun (clean vocals) instead of
Swans or Angel albums?

It's the only Reverend Bizarre album I have, LOL! I can't pick something I never heard. I have to check out Harbinger of Metal.

I like both Shape of Despair equally, but Shades of... has a more doomlike feel. They are both great however.

I just wanted to throw in my nod to one of the best metal albums ever created.. Acid Bath's WHEN THE KITE STRING POPS. It's just great. No matter what style of metal you like, there is something to love in this album. Ok Christian Metal fans need not apply. There's thrash (reminicent of Slayer) mostly, some stoner and southern rock vibes, some nice accoustic bits, even stuff that verges on hardcore. The vocalist, Dax Riggs, is one of the more versitle singers I've ever heard front a metal band. He goes from piercing scream to deep croon at the drop of a hat. These guys can play. I'm lucky I got to see them play twice. Amazing. If you dig this, then their 2nd album PAEGAN TERROISM TACTICS is also highly reccommended.

Some recent metal I've really enjoyed:

Ufomammut's Snailking. Psychedelic, strange, twisted stuff from Italy. A lot like Electric Wizard.... but actually even better than the Wiz, IMO.

Webpage is here.
