Please recommend me a DAP as my Questyle QP1R has developed a fault so i'm having to return it after 18months.

What i want if possible is great sound (flat but dynamic) some power to drive headphones (T1 H6 Sundara Fostex i have amps for the trickier ones) and good battery life.

What i dont require is Bluetooth connectivity, streaming or fancy GUI, can also manage without Touchscreen. Looking to spend £500 to 750 max ....less if possible lol

quite tempted by some of the Cowon Plenue

Thanks

Go for the Cowon Plenue then, nothing wrong with them ;)

Personally I have the Plenue 1 and (as of today) the Plenue 2, but the Plenue 1 seems to be hard to find nowadays and the Plenue 2 is a little bit over your budget. Another point to consider is that both have a rather low battery life. There are other Plenue models that are more in your budget and also have a better battery life: the M2, the D, the V, the J or the R. I have never tried them and could not tell you which one of those models should be more suited for you, though.
