Just came back from a haircut and wow Stealth sounds better than ever again, subbass thick and deep like it's supposed to and it gives the headphone the impact it was designed to have. 10/10 would recommend.

A picture of an unexpected combo, which is far more efficient than what I was thinking (I have dedicated a FIIO M17 to the DCA Stealth).

As the compact Quloos MUB1 is more powerful than it looks (2x1.1W at 32 ohms) and is compatible with UAC 2.0 when set as USB DAC (with supported handset features like hardware button play/stop Next & Prev track) which became a no go if such feature is missing on any DAC/AMP.

Basically, I really love Sony's combo IER-Z1R + NW-NWM1A, which my absolute reference for years now for sound quality.
The Stealth+MUB1 is rather convincing with even a significant larger sound stage and can strangely support ultra lows without clipping at all on tracks like "Cradle to The Grave" from Max Richter (between 55s to 1'10s) and all sound tests from this site https://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php .. any of the tests can pass without any issues or distortion.
For some years now, I use some magnet plate to keep my Z Fold 5 and MUB1 together in my pocket.
Stealth + Fiio M17 + external iFi Elite Power supply is still impressive... but really not as versatile as Stealth + MUB1 to move freely in my home.

Hi, I'll buy a dca Stealth and I'm between ferrum oor+hypsos and burson soloist voyager as a HP amp for Stealth, which option is the best for dca stealth? Another question, burson voyager works with Ferrum hypsos?

Thankyou
I have no experience with Burson but the Oor + Hypsos is very good with planars in my experience, including the Stealth and especially so in bypass mode

Below link contains a comparison of Burson Soloist Voyage Deluxe with other amplifiers using DCA Stealth. Use a translator to read this article.
In short, Voyager is significantly better than Oor + Hypsos when used with DCA Stealth.

I’ve searched the thread and found little discussion of how these sound with the AK SP2000. Has anyone tried? Is the SP2000 powerful enough to do the Stealth justice?

Thanks!

Rob
Rob, curious if you ended up trying this combo as I'm considering the same for on the go. Have a desktop amp for home, but curious if you have your own impressions of the Stealth with SP2000

Happy stealth user+1, got mine today, sounds amazingly clean :L3000: .
*By the way, just curious, is the VIVO cable just coincidentally named VIVO, or is it actually made by the phone manufacturer also named VIVO?

I have been quite busy with work/vacation and I have barely touched my headphones in almost a month. I am listening to my Stealth and am falling in love again. I am really considering selling the rest of my collection and keeping only this one. I have other great headphones like the Focal Utopia, Meze Elite, and Atrium closed but the Stealths appear more detailed, cleaner, greater bass extension, greater imaging than all the headphones that I have.

My pads started disintegrating, it seems like the fake suede reached its end of life.

Is there a guide or something about how to replace them? Is it hard to get them aligned properly?
There's a nice video on the dan Clark audio channel:

You have to be a little bit careful about alignment, my last attempt glued the pads too far back and now they don't seal properly. I'll have to buy glue and re-do the job.

Getting the alignment on the bottom right is I think the most important as the pressure on the pads is highest at the top.

Finally getting the pads off might be harder than in the video, and require considerable force. Make sure you don't pull the cushion as it can rip from the plastic ring, but try to get a proper grip on the ring itself.

Wondering how many people got to try the Stealths with the Envy? Good pairing?

Envy seems to be an excellent pairing with any headphone I tried. So hopefully this is the case. Getting a Stealth for my portable chain but want to try them out on the Envy as well.
