The Bottlehead Crack is an extremely poor pairing with the Aeon, I can confirm.

I'm driving with Schiit Lyr 3 and Vali 2, but Lyr’s output impedance is 0.3 and Vali’s is 1.2 in low gain & 5.8 in hi.

I run my AFO X on a Lyr 2 (tube hybrid), Little Dot 1+ (tube hybrid), and Primaluna Prologue 4 (transformer coupled tube) all with outstanding results. Since the Aeons have a very low impedance of 16 ohms they are not a good match for an otl tube amp however.

The MK3SE should sound quite good with the Aeon. My LD 1+ has upgraded opamp (Sparkos Lab) and tubes (usually Mullard M8100s) and it sounds fantastic with the AFO-X.

Agreed. I find them very isolating, even when my kids are running around and making noise. Quite comparable to my LCD-2 closed and better than I found the Elegia and ATH-A900X to isolate.

Quite low leakage, yes.

Hmm, alright, alright. I've been reading that the pads can be kinda weird and fussy; that the material inside the pads moves around a bit or something?

Also, how do these bad boys compare to the Aeon Flow 2 and Aeon Noire?
