DAC: Something I found on Ebay

Now I'm wondering, has anyone tried it, is it any good? I'm kinda short of cash atm and if this one is any good, 182$ is quite a decent price.

that is a DAC-AH... search around here you should find several threads about it...

its basically 8 TDA1543s in parallel... those are the Philips NOS dacs... if NOS is your thing then it is a good deal, especially if you upgrade output section a bit...

Non oversampling. Basically it doesnt cut off frequencies at 20khz for a supposedly more analog presentation. It might not be compatible with some people's speakers though because of something to do with high frequencies. Do a search and it will clear things up a bit.

For a good deal on a DAC the Entech 203.2 is being closed out at $45 plus shipping. It comes with an external transformer (110V) but only needs 16VAC at 650ma so it would be simple to convert for 220V.
