I bought a Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ specifically for the MQA support and build quality. The Brooklyn is worth the money.

It gained quite the reputation among reviewers and here on HF, so it has to be good. And it's a full MQA decoder, isn't it?

Yes, they advertise it as containing an official MQA hardware decoder. However, one guy on here who ought to know calls that Quantum Marketing and says there are no hardware decoders for MQA. I'm not sure if it is about the fine line between firmware and software or whether something else is going on.

But, it is a beautiful build and has a very intuitive (especially compared to the RME which I also have) and informative UI. It's heavy enough and has the right feet so it doesn't slide around on the desk or rack when you push the buttons.

I haven't heard it, but looks very nice!

There's a good reason (hardware related!) why i.e. our Pro iDSD is a full MQA decoder. If that Mytek is as well, it also has hardware that allows it to decode MQA
