I have a Purity KICAS (Non Caliente) coming and just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 600. I have the Headstage DAC Cable but have seen reviews that it does not have a very wide soundstage. I do think the Headstage has a very solid sound and it is very quiet regarding any distortion. In fact it is pure silent. I still feel that I need to upgrade to a better DAC to go with the KICAS and HD 600 so was wondering if you could make a recommendation. I listen to almost anything that is not RAP/Hard Metal or Hard Rock. I was thinking of a range of 100.00 to 300.00. Any advice would be appreciated.

So far from my researching I think I am going to go with the Keces 151 Mk II. How does this sound. Anyone see any problems going this way?

Glad you decided to search. The Keces is a good dac, my ears certainly enjoyed them, they also sync very well with the hd600(50). I ended up upgrading to the Pico dac which is 350 shipped. The pico offered more bass from what i heard but they sound in general was pretty much the same compared to the Keces. So in MY OPINION it wasn't a worthwhile upgrade, but i can tell you now a lot of the members here love the pico. Nonetheless they are both great and reputable companies.
Here are a couple great links that will surely help you if you do decide to research more.

Thanks for the input. Yeah the other one I have considered is the PICO DAC without the amp as I have the Headstage Arrow and love the sound I am getting from it. The PICO DAC is powered from the USB hub if I am correct. Can you enlighten me as to the soundstage from the two units using the HD 6x0 series headphones.

Like i said, they sounded very similar, since the hd600s have good soundstaging, with that combo you will notice a pretty good difference immediately upon turning on your dac. I would advise you to go with the Pico since it isn't much of a difference for a little bit better of everything. It just wasn't worth the trouble and hassle of selling my keces, and waiting for the Pico to ship in. As yes, the Pico is USB powered, and obviously far more convenient. =P
