After finding out yesterday that my mixing desk wouldn't be too great at driving my headpones due to 48kHz limitation of it's DAC.. I've decided that I will use a better DAC to get sound from the PC.. but now I'm confused as to whether it would be a good idea to run the output of the DAC into the mixing desk and use that to drive the headphones?
The other option I'm thinking of is getting a DAC / Amp for the headphones and then running the headphone output of my mixing desk to the amp somehow.. would that hurt SQ?
Bottom line is thus - I need to be able to 'hear' the output of the mixing desk but I also want to have a solid hi-fi audio setup for the headphones that can run simultaneous to the Desk etc..
Is this going to work? whats the best way(s) of doing this?
Thanks
*specs of the mixing desk I'm working with if it helps..*
