I have am currently running a Modi/Magni stack with my Edition XS. Generally, it sounds great. However, my understanding is that this stack is a little bright, and since the XS is also a little bright, I think I might do well with a warmer/darker amp/dac pairing.

I am going to be using the Schitts for another set of cans at my office, so I'll need to buy another setup for home soon. I just am trying to decide if I should buy the Schitt stack again, or if I should go with something new. I don't want to spend a huge amount - thinking less than $500 total.

Anyone have a pairing they'd recommend?

Ifi makes one stack for HFM headphones, I believe is $599, since the XS is jot hard to drive I think it would be a good pair.

I can also vouch for the stellar pairing of the ZEN Siganture Stack really outstanding with the XS especially within your price point!
