Just a quick question regarding DAC's on Amps. I already own a Sound Card for my computer(Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer) so would a DAC be a waste on an amp for my needs? Or would it be possible to connect the DAC to my computer for listening to music, but then disconnect it to use my Headset for games through my Sound Card? Does the DAC act as a sound card, or would the audio-processing still come with an overhead on my processor(Unlike the X-Fi which removes all overhead from the CPU onto the sound card)? Thanks.
