Hi Renault...

Are you looking at this from a portable point of view, or from a home setup with a dedicated amp and suchlike?

The answers are a LOT different, between the two options (to my ears)

Thanks

It will be interesting to know if somebody has actually compared the two.
I have the ATH A500 and can only vouch for them. They sound good straight out of a portable, but I wouldn't call them portable. They have a punchy sound with good but not bloated bass clear mids and treble. They don't have that honky closed can sound.
They offer some isolation and don't leak sound.
The ATH A500s are good value for money here in North America.
