D5000 cable modded to 580/600/650 cable??

I recently found myself with an extra Denon D5000 cablle and was pondering the idea of recabling either my 701's or my 880's with it but finally I decided to mod the cable to fit the 580/600/650 Sennheisser's by getting the headphone ends from a stock 600 cable. I did it correctly making note . Please note my sig and perhaps give your opinion where this cable would and using a volt meter to make sure the connections were correct. I find this cable better than a stock 650 cable but not as nice as the Equinox cable. Where would anybody else use this cable? In terminasting it for the 6XX series I'm left with all options. I'm just not convinced this cable is necessarily better than the 701 or 880 stock cables. Any thoughts or reccommendations where this cable would best be used? Right now I can use it on three of my Sennheisser headphones and to recable a dedicated cable to headphone hardwired I would require getting someone to do it for me. At least with the Sennheisser stock cabkle I was able to note which wires went where to properly terminate the Stock Denon Denon D5000 cable. I am listening to it now and find it better than stock 650 cable more closer to the Equinox but not quite all the way there. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.This cable is decent but I am not awestruck.

The cable has improved with some play. Quite close to the Equinox but a little softer or more natural sounding. I like the cable and am using it.
