Ok, tried to use the DAC of the ibasso D3 and could not for the life of me figure out how to configure the computer to output itunes to play through USB.

THANKS TO JAMATO AND HEADPHONEADDICT...went back into control panel, sounds and audio devices and...have to click the volume tab, in speaker settings, click advanced and change to "no speakers".

I would say it's quite safe to take the plunge. I bought mine last evening and it was great with my ER4P-S.

The DAC works very good on the unit...use it with itunes, hind sight being 20/20 would have liked lossless tracks, but you live and learn
