during the D25S craze a couple of years ago, i bought some, kept two and got one battery. that one was in the unit on my desk here in DilbertVille. noticed yesterday that the recharge glyph was running. hmmm. hadn't used the player in a couple of weeks (

).

tried to play a cd on battery. dead, dead, dead. hmmm.

took the battery home, installed it in that unit. the glyph came on. left it alone overnight. this morning; won't do anything.

should i just toss it (well, dispose of in an environmentally proper way), or is there some way to rehabilitate it??

I read somewhere that someone had kind of revived one by zapping it with a high(er) voltage. I have done this before with other rechargeable batteries and it seems to get them working a little for a while.
I have a dead D-25 battery here and might just try it out one day if I can find out more about zapping it
