Hi everyone,

So I finally decided to upgrade from my zune 80 to a FLAC capable player. After much lurking and research here I have narrowed it down to two players, the cowon D2 or sansa fuze. My preference is the D2 but i'm worried about the bass roll-off with HD595s, so my question is would using a fiio e3 fix the roll-off or just live with the less capacity/better SQ of the fuze?

Current gear zune 80, fiio e3, HD595s and shure e3c.

D2 has bass rolloff, Fuze is flat. Get what you like better. I'd personally go with the Fuze.

If you do go with the fuze, you will probably need an amp to drive your HD595.

the D2 is the better choice to go with the HD595. The bass rolloff dissappears with high impedance cans (your headphone is 120 ohms). Also, the D2 has high output capability and you won't even need to carry an amp.

My choice if I were you is the D2.

Wasn't there a HD595 with 50 Ohms of resistance and isn't that the newest version?
