Hi couple of d1000 questions -

1. Isolation? was Skylab confusing the hd25 and d1000 when he was talking about isolation ive tried them both and the d1000 seems more accoustically isolated or am i wrong and not knowing what isolation is?

1a if the accoustic isolation is poor in the d1001's, how do i improve it? Different pads?

2. How would one improve the bass on the d1001? e.g more precise and less muddy?

3. Is there a way of lifting up the treble? Would a re-cable do this? What about the mids?

The Denons need ALOT of hours on them to open up. Which they do REALLY good. I was never a " Burn in" believer until these cans. The mids will come out and the bass will tighten up nicely. They will become much more balanced. A recable does help as the stock is really bad. Try to roll that sucker up and have it stay where you put it..lol.. Not to mention the wires inside are about the size of a thread.

I don't think you need anything for the D1000. I have 2 pairs that my wife and I use for traveling and I also use mine in bed hooked up to a GS-1 and iPod. She can sleep next to me with no problems and the sound is very good and clean.

Give them time. The soud will balance and sound great. Probable one os the best price/performance headphones.
