EJ01: Not very good sounding. I would pay 140 dollars.
D-777: One of the best sounding discman (headphone out) ever made. Solid performer. Very classic design, and slimmer than the Ej-01. I would pay 140 dollars at the max. It's older but much better.
Oh, Siliconsalvage has been selling the D-25s for one year already. The price is around 43 to 45 dollars.

Portability, If you don't go running with it, D-777 should fit your need.

Depends what you'd use them with...

D777 with headphone(s output) one of the very best... a classic PCDP

D-EJ01 line out with suitable portable amplifier... cleaner sound than the somewhat grainy, spitty D777 line out

as to costs... I'm in the UK, so i'm not one to really comment

To my EJ01 is more or less a collectable item rather than a PCDP that I would carry around everywhere I go. The HP out is loussy and I felt like throwing it out of the window when I heard the D777/900/905/

Kin3tix,
That item is new, and I'm sure that it will go above the 140 dollars. Sorry to sound disappointing, but that this is "New" and should bring you lots of musical enjoyment for years to come. It one heck of a solid player. Look in "buy/sell" forum, and two of those D-777s are above 120 dollars. I sold a very good condition one in the forum for 145 dollars. So, act quick and honestly, I don't think you should wait until the end of the auction. I'm pretty sure that this new D-777 will end b/f the end of the auction. Beware of behind the auction deal. Good luck.
