We're having a meet on Saturday, July 26th, 2014 to accompany the CanMania personal audio show at Capital Audio Fest 2014.  Please post if you're attending the meet, along with what gear you're bringing and who you're bringing with you.  And please let me know how many tables you might need.
 
The entry fee for the meet is included into the Capital Audio Show ticket prices, which are as follows:

1. General Admission (for all 3 days) = $20.00
2. Student Admission (for all 3 days) = $10.00

2. Silver Spring Sheraton's Magnolia Pre-Function Room

 
 
Facilities and Power
 
The event will be held on the fourth floor of the hotel, in the Pre-Function area of the Magnolia Ballroom. If you are bringing gear, please remember to bring power strips and extension cords.
 
 
Meet Rules
 

1. Please treat fellow head-fiers, vendors, and their gear with the utmost care and respect.
2. Please don't unplug headphones without asking permission from the owners first.
3. Please don't anything on or off without asking permission first.
4. Please don't move anyone's gear from their established area without asking permission.
5. Absolutely no food and drink will be allowed near any equipment including your own.
6. Please have courtesy and ensure that your hands are CLEAN before handling other’s equipment.
7. Be mindful of the time you are spending listening to vendors and others’ gear especially if there are others waiting in line.
8. Be mindful of personal hygiene. DO NOT use hair gel or other product that may damage or stain a headband or earpads.
   DO NOT wear hair gel or any cosmetic product that may damage or stain a headband or earpads.
9. Please use common sense! To repeat the most important rule: treat fellow head-fiers, vendors, and their gear with the utmost care and respect.

Warren and I are planning a Mega event in DC and would love to fill up the room,. We have two very large ballrooms for this event and more space if we need it. This will be a truly special event this year as both ballrooms ar next to each other and on the other days there swill be speakers and panels  we will be working with. This is going to be marketed heavily and I look forward  to doing this year Capitol Audiofest. Pleas supper this meet and help make this a huge success. Lets get our member there in full force. Yes!!! This will be awesome. I was at the 2013 Capital Audio Fest and had a great time. Spent a few hours in the Woo Audio room alone. So much good equipment on display that it was impossible to get to everything in two days. I will most likely attend at least one day out of the three (as the SO permits).

This will be a meet to set up gear and the adjoining room is where the vendors will be. I have room for about 40-50 setup and at least 20 vendors in the other room and lobby.  We would like as many headfi members to set up at this show.   The one day meet is designed for our  headfi members   hopefully they get to enjoy the rest of show as well. This year promises to be better than last year which Art Dudley in his Stereophile report raved about this show.   List your gear so Warren gets to list you and what you bringing. Glad your coming and look forward to meeting you there.

We'll be posting exhibitor lists soon, and collecting gear/rig information from everyone that wants a table at the meet.  Table are free and first-come-first-serve.  Based on past experience, I would suggest that everyone who even remotely thinks they need a table should reserve one... even if all you've got are a few cans and not a full rig.

The announcement of this event leads me to ask a question: is this event replacing any other headphone shows next year, or will it be in addition? i.e., Will the Headphonium at the THE Show Newport Beach and Headmasters at the CA Audio Show also run next year?
 
I don't really see myself attending this event due to various reasons but won't write it off yet either, maybe a small chance that I'd make it out.
