I purchased the Shure E4 Blacks a few weeks ago. They sound best to me with the yellow foamies, but economically it would be more practical to get custom sleeves. The thing is, if the sound quality of custom sleeves isn't better than than that of the foamies, I'd be perfectly content to keep buying more foamies. Any advice?

Custom molds generally sound better than any universal tips/foamies, they isolate more and are more comfortable.

If you are in Europe the best place I'd suggest for taking ear impressions/getting molds done is ACS Hearing Protection in Harpenden (near London) or, if in the U.S., Sensaphonics in Chicago.
