Most Custom IEMs I've been looking at seem designed to be worn cable-up; are there any (preferably sub 500 EUR ones) designed to be worn cable down? Or is anybody happy wearing cable-up CIEMs with the cable going down? I did that with Shures (I think) for a year or two, and it was just about possible, I'm not sure it'd work well with CIEMs.

In any other forum I'd explain what I mean by cable-up or cable-down but I guess it's not necessary here.

Not for certain on this but I would think all CIEM's would be meant to be worn cable over top the ear due to the fact they were produced for performers and meant to be over ear and from the back of your neck as not to be noticeable to the crowd. You might find replacement cables that could work for you to go cable down.

Empire Ears used to make this series called the Olympus series I believe, which are basically the same IEMs from their custom series but with cable-down versions. Contact @Jack Vang to ask about it because I'm not sure if they offer it anymore since its no longer on their website.
