Hello everyone, I tried doing a search but didn't quite get the answer so I'm hoping someone can chime in.
Skip to the bolded part to skip background information, thanks!
I currently have a pair of Sony MDR-7520 and I quite enjoy them. However, I find that I can't use them in a majority of situations due to the size and well, just being over the ear headphones. I've used IEMs for a god 10+ years but have always stuck to universal ones and the se535 was my last pair. I was thinking of getting a pair of iem to complement my full size headphone as I've always disliked how iem gives a feeling of "in the head" sound rather than "around the head". Then I realized that the full size headphones will only get 20% of my time or less so I was considering getting a pair of custom iem. My source is usually just spotify on my phone or my macbook retina with a usb creative recon3d external sound card. With this being the case, would a full size headphone+iem, high end universal iem, or custom iem be the best option?
