As the topic says,

i have been hunting around for a Custom for quite sometime to replace my Superfi EBs...

but i'm having a hard time in finding the correct replacement(upgrade)...

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

As i really love my EBs, the sub bass rumble and the slightly bright highs... as i know BA drivers seldom have the capability to have the Bass rumble...

Can anyone share their story on how you each individual choose your Custom IEM?

Tralucent 1Plus2 is a great IEM considering bass. Not that its lacking at all in treble or mid-range but the bass really draws your attention to it. Its a hyrbid IEM with both BA and dynamic drivers.

jh 11 or ue11pro deliver more than sufficent sub bass rumble. so do compact monitors stage 2 and stage 4 and i believe jh16pro will also fit the bill.

He wants sub-bass rumble...

Shouldn't have to look further than the Merlins.

i have tried the Merlins before..
but somehow it doesn't have the WOW factor... and i'm trying to stay away from Unique melody as my EBs have been reshelled by them...
looking for other brands to try...

i have tried the JH in Jaben singapore... all are top performers... Does the UE Customs still retain the sound signatures after JH left UE?

JH16 is very nice... but if i get that i will need put off buying till later as my baby is coming very soon...
