I know what you feel. I have the same when first my E3s and soon after E500s broke down... Well, thank you Lord for great Shure service.
If you are going to buy next headphones, try Koss Porta Pros. I've heard that they are indestructible

Wow, four in one week. I've done some really stupid stuff that should have killed my headphones and they still worked. Talk about some seriously bad luck. I would vote for Koss though, you'll have to try to take them down.

Wow, 4 in a week?

Only phones I've managed to break was my HD570, plastic became weak and snapped near one of the phones. Still working though, if you like holding one of them to your ear

My sister must be a master of breaking things though. I gave her my old Jens of Sweden mp3 player and a neckband strap with phones connected in them, they broke a few weeks later. Then I gave her my Koss UR40, dead a month or so later, she chewed on the cable it appears...

Then once I got my Shures I passed up my old Creative stock phones from the ZV:M, broke after a few weeks... I don't get it how she breaks things unless she bends them in awkward ways or uses brute force.

She's also worked herself through 3 different keyboards I've given her, but that's another story

Its cuz you probably bought decent headphones and they refused to be assaulted by techno! JK, but damn, 4 pairs in a week, you must have been an expensive toddler.
Mom: "Now Kuzzz, don't put the processed cheese slices in daddy's CD player!"

Hahaha! This reminds me of another episode of my previously mentioned sister quest for breaking things. When she was smaller she thought it would be a good idea to grab my Playstation games when they were new and force them inside the old VCR
