Well that depeds on what you would consider "stable". The prices tend to change on a weekly basis but sometimes doesn't change for months. Recently however the prices have been on an upward trend, which isn't unusual with the tourist season.

Started keeping track of milage lately, and the price of a gallon (regular, 87 octane). These prices are at Nellis Air Force Base though, which is considerably lower than out in town ($0.05 - $0.10).

I think it's less a question of supply but more of demand. I think in the last three years the prices of gasoline has gone up over the summer and would continue to trend upward until some congressional invesigation would begin to look into price gouging and then the prices would go down.

I am expecting more of the same. But hearing Bush saying that opening ANWR would have helped keep the prices down is just blowing it out of proportion especially since the estimated amount of oil available in that site and the resources of pumping and transporting it wouldn't be ready by this time if it had started when he wanted would do little more than bringing the prices down a few pennies.

$2.18 for 89 octane here in Central Ohio. It cost me $22.25 to fill up my little dodge colt. Those of you who drive gas guzzling SUV's must be hurting.

I used to fill my Dodge Colt up for $8. That's one of the world's great inexpensive cars. The body on my Colt was falling apart, but the car wanted to keep on running. I had 130,000 miles on it and only replaced the water pump in 6 years!

It is actually both. Supply has actually been going up quite a bit, but as China and other parts of Asia become more industrious/up-to-date, their oil usage goes up along with our prices.
