I'm a huge fan of crossfeed, and I use it with my sennheiser hd 449 all the time. To me, it really improves the soundstage in terms of depth, giving it an immersive 3d effect. However, when I tried it with my friends ultrasones , the differences were barely there; there were a lot of times when I couldn't discern between hfi 580 with crossfeed and hfi 580 without crossfeed. I did some research and found that the ultrasones boasted this "s logic" technology that, according to ultrasone, seemed to accomplish basiclly the same thing as crossfeed.

So, can anyone tell me if the s logic is the reason I didn't hear a change?I thought crossfeed was invented to imitate a speaker setting by feeding the sounds produce in one channel to the other?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I use rockbox crossfeed(sorce being sansa fuze).
