I cut a set of burl cups for my Australis. It's my first time to make cups and I think they came out pretty well.

Ahh okay. I met one of the fellows that makes those at a DC meet. I sampled the open version at the time and I thought it performed very well. Not sure if you hollowed the other side of the cups, but you can experiment with damping sheets like Dynamat on the cups

Very nice headphone stand as well.

Ya, the cups are modeled directly from the original cups which are plastic and hollow on the inside.

The stand is something I made out of scrapped optical parts. Kinda fun as something different.

Does the driver and damping looks similar to borealis?

Does the driver and damping looks similar to borealis?

I'm not sure since I've never had the Borealis but I think the the drivers are the same. The damping is different though for sure based on the pics of the Borealis.
