Anybody know the history of the Crosszone CZ-10, as recently reviewed at a major review site, the same as the initial generation? They call it the cz-10 enhanced.

The reason why I am asking is because I have seen some sellers selling "distributor overstock" sealed boxes of these at half the cost or less of the retail price. That certainly would be one reason for the price drop, a change in the product.
Another possibility would be a fake.

I don't know but if you're talking about TMR, they often have great dealer overstock deals. They definitely won't be fake. I bought two of their overstock deals myself .... Both for less than half price Brand new sealed units. you can get some great deals if you keep your eyes open and I wouldn't hesitate to buy that headphone from TMR if you were indeed interested in it.

The Enhanced editions, according to the Japanese brochure (there's a link on the previous page), seem to be bassier versions of the headphones intended for non-Japanese markets.

The CZ-10E will have the word “Enhanced” on the box. My review goes over the differences (as mentioned above the bass is the major beneficiary), and the Headfonics review briefly goes into that as well.

So unless the box says “Enhanced” it probably isn’t. There is also a sticker saying the same on the outer box.

I appreciate the different sound coming from the CZ-8E and CZ-10E, and will keep both as well. A nice compliment to my other headphones in that range.
