IS X3i better than Shure E2C or different?

I found X3 ( without 'i') bright, quite natural but missing bass impact canalphones, I haven't listened to Shures.
How about isolation in a new X3i - is it better or worse than in the old version?

Now I have Ep-630 and I expect something clearer, with good dynamic, bass impact , better soundstage and rather cheap (50-70$).

I’ve heard both - and the Shure is a piece of crap compared to the X3i. The X3i is bassy and clear at the same time. Its isolation could be better, I think the X3 is a bit better.

I have owned the Shure e2c and I wasn't very fond of it. Not very strong bass and rolled off highs...missing my two favorite things.

Just reading about the two phones, I'd much rather own an X3i.

I've had both the older Mylars and the e2C- Mylars are def. the better phone. Shures in general do not impress me. The sound is pretty stale and the e2C is very uncomfortable and hard to keep in your ear.
