Interesting sample results for Viento. The bottom 2 samples look pretty close to Harman Target (at least the prior one), but the ones on top with some treble emphasis shown. So, there is Viento sample variance?

Guys, a funny coincidence. Have you noticed? Both are 8 BA designs. And it looks as if one company bought or copied the design from the other :wink: Only that VE8 is thicker even with the PP8 bass on.

By the way, please advise me. I have QDC 8CS (CIEM) and think of selling it. Someone has to do a reshell for himself. How much in USD should or could I ask for it? You may PM me w/ advice if you don't feel all right posting prices here. Cheers

@crinacle

Couple of iems I want to suggest for measurements if you can get a hold of them. I'm interested in your measurements of the Direm E3 most of all, and perhaps DIRAC+ mk2.

I also saw that CA Jupiter isn't present. I heard it and didn't like the mids, and was about to look at the graph and didn't see it.

I'll keep a look out. Everything is dependent on access.

Sonicast is a Korean company that sells their product in Japan and Korea I believe, they don't sell their iems in the US. I would be surprised if you could get hand on them.

Here's HMH's review of their true wireless which is tuned to be closest to the Harman target. The guy that works for Sonicast a big fan of Harman target, and I got to say I haven't seen any other iems get closer than the ones from this company. It's not easy to tune iems that close to Harman.

has anyone heard both and can comment on the technicalities of both? Been interested in the VE8 for a while.
I would recommend PP8 over VE8 technicality wise, although I'm not the biggest fan of either of them. VE8 doesn't sound all that technical although tonal response is fine. It's not really highly transparent or resolving. Not fan of PP8 upper frequency tilt.

I’ve never taken that company seriously. Any company who sells $4,000 and $7,000 IEM cables cannot and should not be trusted in my opinion, as that is highway robbery.
