The Youtube vid is pretty low res, but I'm pretty sure one of those pieces was sushi, you can see the chef doing that hand mold on the rice thing.

This "live sashimi" thing is apparently named "Ikizukuri" (literally means 'prepared alive'). It is banned in many western countries, including Australia, for understandable reasons. While it's fun to see it on video, I don't think I'll be able to stomach it in person, especially if the fish is flounder-sized and starts trancing around in its final moments. I'm a bit phobic to live fish.
