Whenever I touch/move the cables or connectors to the drivers, I hear crackles coming from the cans. Can this be solved by simply replacing the cable or just cleaning the connectors? Thanks!

Yeah the cable on the hd580 is terrible. Many head-fiers replace it with the hd650 cable which is sturdier. You can order that cable by calling sennheiser USA. (Phone orders are processed more quickly than online orders fyi.)

That can usually be remedied by cleaning the tip of the plug and, perhaps using a can of pressurized air, cleaning the connector on the equipment. Maybe by blasting in the air inside the jack (female connector). It's usually due to some dust and dirt, and maybe perhaps a bit of static electricity. I doubt that you need to replace the whole cable unless this keeps on happening, and it gets worse. Then maybe it's time for a cable upgrade?
