78.6 X 14.5 X 126.9

All in mm

Starting to see positive comments after the firmware update. I guess I'll buy after it is mature enough.

yooss, so X7 is already on the market and already there was a firmware update. But why haven't Exportprive started selling them already?

Do you know of a Korean site which has an English menu and ships internationally? (and sells X7 of course).

just curious, how does the cowon x7's size/dimensions compare to lets say an iphone?  like, how many inches more widht/height/thickness?

this thing is looking pretty sweet but based on the pictures i've seen, i think it kinda looks huge.

i  hope it's nice and pocketable

Dimensions of  Iphone 4   : 58.6 x 9.3  x 115.2

Dimensions of  Cowon X7 : 78.6 X 14.5 X 126.9

All in mm of course.

If you watch the videos on youtube, you'll see that X7 is not so big as the numbers suggest IMO.

Many Korean shopping malls offer overseas shipping I believe but no foreign language and the procedure in the korean sites are rather complicated for foreigners to use(It's unbelievably harder than amazon besides the language). Sorry, I have never been to a foreign country so I must say I don't know a lot about it though I will try to do a quick search to find one. I didn't even know there were such sites offering package forwarding to US before this thread.

Will post step by step procedures if I find one but today is unlikely since I just got the hifiman player here.

I'm impatiently looking forward to hearing your finds! I'd really be glad if you could find an Korean site with English language support... Please don't put your efforts into translating a Korean site step by step, as I wouldn't like to place my order half-blindly. I'll have to communicate with the site about shipping details etc. anyway... So a Korean site that sells X7 and ships internationally that I can contact via e-mail and hopefully order my X7 via e-mail manually would be great for me... Thanks for all your help.

It seems that the Korean retailer is blocked from shipping overseas by Cowon(and strangely enough, there was like 30 online retailers when the S9 came out, and similar for the J3 and the D2 but there is only one beside the official Cowon shop which sells them), and US based forwarding services... I don't really know. I'll keep on searching btw, but I don't think I'll find something. This is strange indeed, maybe Cowon actually is not thinking much out of this player.

well, sizewise it doesn't seem that tempting anymore. That really is a brick. But then again...

i was kinda excited when they said a 160gb cowon was coming out, but I was watching some youtube videos of it last night and this thing is huge

i'm now leaning more towards getting the j3 instead

The problem with it for me is it's width. I can handle long players but throw a lot of width at them and it becomes hard to pocket.

This is your answer.....some new pants!

I was worried about its size, too, but unlike you, after watching the videos I realized its not as huge as I feared. I don't think its HUGE, its just BIG. In fact, to see its dimensions clearly, I carved out of paper a rectangle that exactly has X7's dimensions. I took the paper and held it next to and back-to-back with a 3rd Gen Iphone and saw that the size difference wasn't as much as the the numbers seem to indicate. In short, I decided its not so big to make me change my mind and buy something else instead.

If you've seen or owned a Cowon S9 or J3 this image will help gauge the size:

^^^ Cheers for that - it helps me gage the increased size
